This show represents the long-standing strengths of HISD’s instructors and their programs which focus on painting, sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, mixed media, photography, collage, interdisciplinary research, video and digital media. This group show features work by art teachers from all over the District, who applied to participate and were selected by a jury of peers based upon quality of artistic prowess and instructional testimonial submissions. Participants were challenged to create new and original site-specific installations for this exhibition. This show highlights the passion and dedication of HISD’s visual art faculty, and aims to promote a quality Visual Arts Program for every campus in the district.
