Mid Main Announces the Return of First Thursday, Unveiling a New Season of Art, Music, and Community

Mid Main is proud to announce the return of First Thursday, Houston's long-running monthly celebration of local art, live music, food, and community. The upcoming fall season will once again highlight Mid Main as one of the city's most vibrant cultural destinations, featuring rotating gallery exhibitions, live performances, nonprofit partnerships, and interactive experiences that celebrate Houston's creative spirit.

For more than a decade, First Thursday has brought together artists, musicians, restaurants, retailers, nonprofits, and neighbors to experience everything that makes Mid Main unique. Each event showcases Houston's thriving arts community while raising awareness and support for local nonprofit organizations making a meaningful impact across the city.

This fall's season will feature partnerships with three outstanding Houston nonprofits:

September 3 – HISD Foundation

October 1 – Sky High for Kids

November 5 – Houston SPCA

Guests can expect a fresh lineup of gallery exhibitions at the Gallery at Mid Main, live music throughout the blocks, art installations, local vendors, special activations, and opportunities to support each month's featured nonprofit.

The season officially kicks off on Thursday, September 3, with an evening benefiting the HISD Foundation. Stay tuned for more information and details on the full programing line-up!
